Vacancy: Education and Sport Mentor (SEMH)

27 November 2022

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for, supporting and empowering children with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs across primary, secondary and specialist provision?

Cambridge United Community Trust is a pioneering charity that uses the unique appeal of Cambridge United Football Club to deliver activities that connect our communities and improve people’s lives.

Due to the expansion of our education provision, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as an Education & Sport Mentor.

The challenges young people face within education can vary enormously and this role is to use physical activity and the power of sport to engage, support and guide them to manage themselves appropriately and inspire them to reach their full potential.

The role involves delivering whole-class PE sessions alongside wellbeing interventions and 1-1 work across multiple partner schools in the local area. Education & Sport Mentors will be expected to establish a highly positive rapport with children and be inclusive, aspirational, honest and resilient in everything they do.
