A daunting prospect for any defence, 36-year old Jabo moved to the Abbey Stadium on a one-year deal in May 2017, having helped Carlisle to the League Two play-offs.
Progressing through the ranks at Leyton Orient, this powerful forward made his debut for the O’s in 1999 and went on to score 41 goals in 243 appearances whilst at Brisbane Road; also winning promotion to League One at the conclusion of the 2005/06 campaign. He switched to Walsall in 2008 and subsequently pulled on the shirt for MK Dons, Southend, Stockport and Colchester – who also loaned him to Barnsley and Oldham – prior to signing for Carlisle during 2015. Jabo scored regularly at Brunton Park, bulging the net 31 times in 85 games, including 14 from 22 starts during the 2016/17 campaign. A danger in the air, he has now made 665 plus career appearances, scoring 138 goals in the process. His deal with the U’s was extended for a further year in June 2018, with Jabo triggering another 12 months in that contract this summer.
