Matchday Guide: Cambridge United vs Peterborough United

Ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet League One clash with Peterborough United, take a read of our Matchday Guide...

Tickets...

There is limited availability for Saturday's big game - which kicks off at 12pm - with the Intelligent Membranes South Habbin the only area of the ground with tickets still available.

Join the Amber Army and buy your tickets for online, over the phone on 01223 566500 (option 1) or by visiting the Cledara Abbey Stadium Ticket Office.

The match is ALL-TICKET, but if supporters meet the purchase requirements and there are tickets remaining, sales can be made on the day of the game.

Please note, fans must already have a ticketing account and have purchased for a home league or cup game in the 2021/22 or 2022/23 seasons.

Previous purchase history will be verified automatically through the online accounts of supporters at cufctickets.com. If buying in-store, fans will be required to bring ID and proof of purchase or to help identify their online account history.

A near sell-out crowd is expected and with roadworks in place around the Cledara Abbey Stadium, fans are requested to arrive at the ground as early as possible to help aleviate any delays in getting into the stadium.

Away Fans...

Cambridge United looks forward to welcoming Peterborough's travelling supporters to the Cledara Abbey Stadium, who will be located in the Mead Plant & Grab South Stand for this fixture. There are no tickets remaining for away fans.

Cashless Venue...

The Cledara Abbey Stadium will remain a cashless policy this season, affecting all outlets inside the ground. Cash will still be accepted outside the stadium - in the Shop, Ticket Office and by roaming Programme and 50/50 sellers outside the ground.

Club Shop & Ticket Office…

The Club Shop and Ticket Office is open from 9:30am until kick-off.

In addition to tickets for Saturday's game, the Ticket Office is selling Match Tickets for the following fixtures:

  • Stevenage vs Cambridge United - Tuesday 27 February, 7:45pm - Sky Bet League One
  • Bolton Wanderers vs Cambridge United - Tuesday 2 March, 7:45pm - Sky Bet League One
  • Cambridge United vs Northampton - Saturday 9 March, 3pm - Sky Bet League One
  • Reading vs Cambridge United - Saturday 16 March, 3pm - Sky Bet League One

Pop in-store ahead of the game and browse our Club Shop offering, which includes the 2023/24 playing and training range.

Fan Zones and Food/Drink...

Fan Zones in the Newmarket Road End, Main Stand and Habbin are open from 10am, offering supporters space to get together and enjoy a range of culinary and beverage options before kick-off.

New covers have been installed across all three Fan Zones, meaning supporters will be protected from all of the elements throughout the season.

The BrewBoard Beer Bus will be in the Intelligent Membranes Habbin Fan Zone and Abbey Gold will be on draught in all bars once again. Plus, supporters in the NRE will be able to try out a new BrewBoard half-time beer collection service.

Fans should please note that only supporters with a Signature Suite Hospitality ticket can use the Dion Dublin Bar before or after the game.

Junior U's Kids’ Zone...

The Ripples Bathrooms Junior U's Kids' Zone will be open from 10am until 11:45am!

Featuring an inflatable goal, new garden games, fun activities and visits from First Team players, the Kids' Zone is the place to be for youngsters and their family ahead of each home game!

If you're bringing your little one/s to the game, make sure to stop by before heading through the turnstiles.

Matchday Passports...

Junior U's should bring along their brand-new Matchday Passport to the Junior U's Kiosk in the Kids' Zone to receive their latest opposition sticker to track their attendance during the 2023/24 season.

If your Under 12 Season Ticket Holder/Junior U member doesn't have their Passport yet, simply visit the Kiosk to pick one up.

If your little one isn't yet a member, visit the Club Shop on Matchday or sign up online.

First Time Visits...

If you are bringing an Under 12 to a game for the very first time, please let us know their name/s to receive a free "My First Visit" certificate to help commemorate the special occasion.

Scoreboard Announcements...

If somebody you know has their big day coming up soon, send an email to announcements@cambridgeunited.com prior to 5pm on Thursday 8 February with all the relevant details to receive a scoreboard shout-out!

Please note, due to the large number of requests, birthday announcements will no longer be read out on the PA system.

Live Music...

Get in the ground early and enjoy some live music whilst building up to the game! Local favourite, Christian Smith is in the Main Stand Fan Zone and we are still on the look-out for an artist or group to play in the NRE Fan Zone ahead of kick-off.

Marvin the Moose...

Our resident mascot, Marvin the Moose will be strutting his stuff in the Kids' Zone and around the Abbey in the build up to kick-off, so make sure to say hello, give him a wave or stop for a photo if you see him out and about!

Des Driver...

Des Driver the A2B Taxicabs Mascot is at every home game adding to the Matchday experience by giving away prizes to U's fans.

This weekend's Programme features Interim Head Coach, Barry Corr as the cover star as he gets ready to take charge of the team for the second time this season.

50/50 tickets...

50/50 tickets can be purchased for £1 from our Programme and 50/50 Kiosks around the ground. A winner will be picked at half-time with the winning number declared across the stadium PA system.

Travel…

There is no on-site car parking available at the Cledara Abbey Stadium and supporters are advised to use alternative modes of transport or the Cambridge Matchday Park & Ride service.

Home and away supporters can take advantage of the Cambridge Park & Ride, with a Matchday return ticket priced at £3 from Newmarket Road Park & Ride, CB5 8AA.

With a number of roadworks currently in-place around the ground, supporters are advised to arrive early to the Cledara Abbey Stadium tomorrow. 

Please be considerate if parking on local streets and always follow local guidance and parking laws. Traffic is expected to be slow around the stadium due to a number of roadworks in place in the local area.

Need a lift? A2B Taxicabs provide a taxi service to the drop off area of the Cledara Abbey Stadium on Newmarket Road. The prompt and reliable taxi firm provide a service to Cambridge, Ely, Milton, Littleport, Waterbeach, Soham, Grantchester, Stretham, Histon, Sutton and the surrounding villages.

Supporter Accessibility...

Supporters with additional needs should visit the new Accessibility Info point by the Newmarket Road End turnstiles for access to the ground and information on the services we have available for disabled supporters.

Supporter Behaviour...

Cambridge United would like to remind all supporters attending Saturday’s Cambridgeshire Derby that they are ambassadors of their respective Clubs and have an obligation to behave in a manner which aligns with their community and family focused values.

The Club will not tolerate behaviour at games (including within stadia, local establishments, and public transport) which threatens to tarnish the good reputation of the many other passionate, yet respectful U’s supporters.

Anyone attending the fixture is reminded that the use of any pyrotechnics, the throwing of missiles and entering the field of play or any area outside of those reserved for spectators are in clear breach of ground regulations. These actions are also categorised as criminal offences and, therefore, punishable by the law.

In addition, offensive, inappropriate or discrimination chanting of any nature will not be tolerated. Any supporters found guilty of such behaviour or breaching ground regulations will face lengthy or lifetime bans.

Report It...

Safety at the Cledara Abbey Stadium remains a key priority on a Matchday and should you witness anti-social or discriminatory behaviour, please speak to a steward, report it via the Club's anonymous reporting textline - 075224 73291 - or through our online Report an Incident page.
