Foundation Awards recognise community heroes

11 October 2023

On Thursday 28th of September, Cambridge United Foundation held its annual awards evening, this year hosted at Childerley Long Barn...

The evening saw 140 guests gather to celebrate the impact of the Foundation in local Cambridge’s communities this year. Guests were treated to some football freestyle entertainment on arrival, a great musical performance from Simon Cragg followed by a delicious three-course meal.

Throughout the night there was the opportunity win some prizes kindly donated to the event, including a night at the Gonville Hotel and some tickets in hospitality at an upcoming CUFC match.

Most importantly, the awards evening gives the Foundation the opportunity to recognise and celebrate participants and supporters of the Foundation who have achieved something amazing or gone the extra mile for their community. This year we had 7 award winners:

  • Inspirational Family, sponsored by Adam Webb

The winner of this years ‘Inspirational Family Award’ went to Becca & Kai, a family who through their determination and resilience have overcome significant hurdles to thrive in a range of Foundation sessions.
