Michael Morrison has been named the Love Cambridge Player of the Month for October 2023...
The U's captain won 37% of the public vote, ahead of teammates Jack Stevens, James Brophy and Paul Digby.
Morrison helped lead the United defence to three clean sheets throughout October, and scored a goal of the season contender against Port Vale, where he dribbled the ball from the half-way before finding the back of the net.
Speaking to Cambridge Independent from Novi Bar & Kitchen on Regent Street, Morrison said, “I probably nicked it (the award) by being part of a team that kept a few clean sheets at the back end of the month!
"I’m really proud of it, though. It’s nice to be acknowledged and it was a really good end to the month for everyone.
“And to score the goal, I was hoping that might be enough to beat Jack Stevens!"
