Ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Ipswich Town, the Club would like to advise supporters of a new Accessibility Information Point...
Located in the left hand side of the Newmarket Road turnstiles, the Accessibility Information Point will provide supporters in need of additional assistance with a range of services, as well as a dedicated information and meeting point.
Hosted by volunteers, supporters will be able to use the AIP to collect Sensory Packs, which include a sunflower sticker to make stewards aware of support needs, ear defenders and in-ear plugs to help with noise control, a sensory stress style ball to help ease any anxiety and a selection of puzzles and a pen to help keep the mind occupied.
Supporters with with a visual impairment or additional sensory needs can also use the AIP to pick up their Audio For All headsets, which gives audio-descriptive commentary for free of charge
A new entry gate has been created next to the Accessibility Information Point, providing disabled supporters with a easier entry point into the stadium.
In addition, the Club has also invested in new accessibility signage and created a dedicated Accessibility section on the Club’s website, which can be found here.
Making the Abbey Stadium as accessible as possible to all supporters remains a high priority for the Club and further improvements to both facilities and services will be made over the coming months.
