The Week Ahead: Post-Season begins for U's

17 May 2021

With the dust now settled on Cambridge United's promotion to Sky Bet League One, the business of football continues for the U's as we head into the Summer months...

The eagerly anticipated Retained/Released List will be published this week, once Head Coach Mark Bonner has concluded his individual conversations with the 2020/21 squad.

Last year's Season Ticket Holders should look out for an email from the Club over the coming days and early information regarding 2021/22 Season Tickets will be released onto the website this week.

The Academy has welcomed in their newest batch of recruits at Under 9 level, who signed their first ever Academy Contracts with the Club on Saturday.

It's 'Education Week' for the Community Trust who are using sport as a non-traditional educational tool, allowing messages to be conveyed in new and interesting ways, and engage those who may not respond as well to traditional techniques. The Trust will be highlighting some of their innovative projects, whether that is their work within special educational needs schools or their AstraZeneca Active Science programme on social media and the impact they have made.

Not only that, but Cambridge United Community Trust are this week taking on their counterparts at Norwich Community Sports Foundation, Colchester United Football in the Community and Watford Sports & Education Trust in the latest edition of Race Across the world!

This is a new initiative that provides inter-school sports competition for primary schools that are representing their local football clubs, without the worries of travelling to mutual venues or risking the mixing of children across schools during the COVID-19 pandemic. Girton Glebe Primary School won the right to take part on the Trust’s behalf when they won the qualifying competition last term and we wish them the best of luck as they look to take the crown home again!

In retail news, the Cambridge United Promotion Range at CUFCDirect.com has been restocked, so pick up your t-shirts, pin bages, mugs, stickers and tankards now to help commemorate a historic season.

Finally, don't forget to fill in our Supporter Survey, as we gather feedback from fans with regards to the return of crowds.

United in Endeavour.
