Cambridge United will kick off the Next Chapter with a trip to Bradford City on the opening day of the 2019/20 Sky Bet League Two season, as the full fixture list is revealed.
Colin Calderwood’s men will take on the Bantams in West Yorkshire as United aim to successfully begin the new EFL season with three points at 3:00pm on Saturday 3rd August at Valley Parade.
Meanwhile the U’s Boxing Day fixture will see them travel to Swindon Town, followed just three days later with the visit of Morecambe on Sunday 29th December and then a home fixture against Mansfield Town on New Year’s Day.
Over Easter, United will face a trip to Oldham Athletic on Good Friday and then host Port Valle at the Abbey Stadium on Easter Monday.
Other fixtures of note include the clashes with recently promoted Salford City away on Saturday 12th October and at the Abbey Stadium for the reverse fixture on Tuesday 28th January.
The return of the M11 derby against Leyton Orient will take place as the final fixture before Christmas on Saturday 21st December at the Abbey, with the return trip taking place at The Breyer Group Stadium on Saturday 7th March.
The U's will complete the season on home soil against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday 25th April, with a 3pm kick off time.
Cambridge United fans are reminded they have two home pre-season friendlies at the Abbey Stadium to look forward to ahead of the start of the new season, with the visit of Leicester City (23rd July, K.O. 7:30pm) and Ipswich Town (27th July, K.O. 1:00pm).
