CAMBRIDGE UNITED THANKS BARRY CORR FOR HIS SERVICE AS HIS SIX MONTH CONTRACT COMES TO AN END

2 January 2019

Cambridge United can confirm that Barry Corr's six month contract with the Football Club has expired and will not be renewed at the Abbey Stadium.

Corr re-joined the U's in the summer on a short term deal having made a significant impact at the end of the 2017/18 season, in which the striker scored four in five games to increase his record at the Club to 18 goals in 41 appearances.

He provided a similar impact at the start of the current campaign, scoring a stoppage time winner against Notts County in the U's opening home game of the season at the Abbey Stadium. However, he has since made a limited number of appearances having sustained an injury in early October which ruled the 33-year old out of action.

Barry has left some lasting memories for the Amber Army with whom he remains a firm favourite, and he will always be welcome back at the Club in the future.

Cambridge United offers our sincere thanks to Barry and wish to pay credit to his hard work and commitment through difficult circumstances during his full time at the Club.

For now we wish him the very best in his future endeavours.
