Local companies from across Cambridge have been quick to snap places for the CB Groundworks Cup at the Abbey Stadium, with one night fully sold out and just five places remaining in total.
Last month, Cambridge United announced the Club’s fourth annual corporate 6-a-side tournament that will take place on Monday 29th April and Wednesday 1st May with CB Groundworks as sponsors.
The victorious sides from each evening will later face each other in the Grand Final, to be staged during half-time in front of 4000+ fans at one of Cambridge United's early home fixtures in the 2019/2020 season.
As expected the event has proved extremely popular with local companies who are keen to pull on their boots, quickly entering their teams to claim for the bragging rights as CB Groundworks Cup winners.
There are just five places remaining for the first evening on Monday 29th April, whilst our second evening on Wednesday 1st May is at full capacity!
As well as the opportunity to take the hallowed turf at the Abbey Stadium, the event will also include the chance to use the Club's dressing rooms, warm-up on the pitch, enjoy complimentary food and the use of our cash bar post-tournament.
The cost of entry is £300 + VAT with squads of up to eight players permitted. Teams must be registered under a business name.
