Cambridge United first team players wish lifelong U’s fan Richard Cox the best of luck ahead his wedding this Saturday!
Richard, who has supported the club from a young age and rarely misses a game at the Abbey will reluctantly be absent from this weekend’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Mansfield Town, in order to marry his bride to be Kelly.
Quick to recognise Richard’s sacrifice, Kelly secretly contacted the club last month to see whether the U’s would send him a message:
“I'm marrying Richard Cox on 22.09.18 (he’s annoyed he’s missing football!!) He’s been supporting the U's since he could walk and attends most games and is a season ticket holder. Would it at all be possible to send him some well wishes?”
