We are delighted and proud to announce that the Cambridge United community have today officially revealed the U's home kit for the 2018/19 Sky Bet League Two season – Pre-order online or by calling 01223 566 500 now!
This year the Club have handed over the responsibility of taking the wraps off the kit to the wide ranging and diverse community that is Cambridge United, in an official launch video named "The Face of Cambridge United" that demonstrates the vast number of people beyond the first team that pull on the shirt to represent the U's. It also highlights the connection Cambridge United's first team themselves have to the community they represent every time they pull on the shirt for the Club.
The video is made up of participants from the Club's women's team, futsal team, academy players and parents, Community Trust initiatives like the Senior Citizen's Lunch and Walking Football, community coaches, pupils from Abbey Meadows Primary School located a stone's throw away from the Abbey Stadium, Cambridge Fans United, the local press and long-serving staff such as Head Groundsman Ian Darler.
The Amber Army are of course represented too, as well as Cambridge United striker Barry Corr who provides representation for the U's first team.
The shirt's design remains with the Club's traditional amber and black colours and includes a faded stripe sublimation graphic on the front, with a V-neck collar and stylised raglan sleeve for improved fit and range of motion.
Manufactured by Puma, the new shirt is made with light polyester moisture wicking technology and will carry sponsors Mick George emblazoned across the front of the shirt and as announced yesterday new back of shirt sponsors Hill on the rear.
