PROGRAMME PREVIEW:

Just tell us how tough this period has been for you?

I have to admit in the last few weeks I had considered calling it a day. I don’t like to make decisions when I’m emotional but after the Exeter game, where I played like 40 minutes I was in bits after that for two or three days. I have to say with the history of the injuries, whenever I go out on the pitch I’m always worried about it, I wish I wasn’t but I can’t help it. But then again you score two goals and it does make you feel so much better.

So we’ll see what happens and I’ll just keep training, keep playing when I can and hopefully there won’t be any further setbacks.

Try to put into words your emotions when you looked up and saw that first goal hit the back of the net in Stevenage?

Honestly it was unbelievable. I knew George (Maris) always puts in a good delivery and I always like to start in an offside position because it’s harder for the defenders to pick you up. As the ball came in, I was thinking this is right on my head and all I heard was the keeper shouting, so I thought I’m going to get clattered! Thankfully I managed to nip in front of him and when I turned round and saw it hit the net, with the crowd going mad it was a great feeling.

The fans are always so supportive of me. I’m not sure I deserve it because I feel I haven’t played enough games for the Club. But they always give me such a good reception and I really do appreciate it. That one was for them!
