Cambridge United are delighted to announce Harrison Dunk has signed a two year contract extension with the Club, and puts pen to paper on the same day as lifelong United fan Stu Proudfoot confirms his 12th Fan status at the Abbey.

Dunk is now the U’s longest serving player having switched to Abbey from Bromley in 2011, and will continue to provide United with a reliable option at full back or on the left wing until the end of 2019/2020 season.

Like Greg Taylor, who also penned a new two year deal with the U’s last week, Dunk has contributed to the Club’s FA Trophy, Conference Play-off final and Emirates FA Cup success against Manchester United during his period with the Club.

The 27-year old commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be signing another extension with Cambridge United.

“I have had an amazing seven years up to this point at the Club, I hope that I can enjoy and contribute towards many more great memories in the forthcoming seasons.

“The fans have been great with me so I can’t wait to repay that faith. I’m looking forward to an exciting and successful season ahead.”

Head of Football, Ben Strang added: “This is another positive development in the squad planning for next season. Harrison has been an exemplary professional during his time at the club and is popular with fans, staff and players alike.

"He provides balance and versatility to the squad and is a tremendous character. We’re pleased to secure Harrison’s signature for the next two seasons."

Meanwhile, having signed up on the same day as Harrison for his 2018/19 season ticket and won a place as a ‘12th Fan’ on a match day next year, lifelong fan Stu Proudfoot was invited to complete his paperwork at the Inc Training alongside the U’s first team player.
