U15s/16s to face Chelsea at the Abbey Stadium

10 April 2018

Tonight Cambridge United's U15s/16s will go toe-to-toe with Chelsea (K.O. 7:00pm), as the Academy stadium games return to the Abbey - Tickets available on the night!

Having come up against Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the campaign following on from the successful evenings of the previous two seasons in which the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool have also graced the Abbey Stadium pitch, the cream of United’s academy will once again take on the Blues for a second consecutive season.

The game also brings added interest with former U's academy starlet Dion Rankine likely to return to the Abbey for the first time to face the U’s, since he made the step up when joining Chelsea in September 2016.

The Amber Army have provided tremendous support in recent years as attendances have approached the 1,000 mark, and the club urging the U’s faithful to once again give their backing to this year’s crop of U15s/16s.

These matches not only provide the Club’s academy players with the opportunity to experience the atmosphere that comes with playing at the stadium, but also for supporters to watch the exciting talent within the club’s Academy system against high quality opposition.

Tickets are once again priced at just £5 for adults and kids as always go free, and can be purchased online by clicking here on the night at the ticket office.
