Cambridge United have been drawn against Southampton U21s who join the U’s alongside local rivals Peterborough United and Northampton Town in the Checkatrade Trophy group stage.
The U’s will face both Peterborough United and Southampton U21s on home soil at the Cambs Glass Stadium in Southern Group H, and will travel to Northampton Town.
Provisional dates are as follows:
Northampton v Cambridge United – W/C 28th August
Cambridge United v Southampton U21 – W/C 2nd October
Cambridge United v Peterborough United - W/C 6th November
