DERRY DELIGHTS FANS AT ST IVES SUPPORTERS HUB – NEXT UP: ELY
Shaun Derry’s visit to the St Ives Regional Supporters Hub proved popular, with over 40 fans participating in the Club’s newest supporter initiative last Friday night.
The U’s boss made the journey to the St Ivo Outdoor Centre alongside Cambridge United Business Development Manager James Cutting to discuss ways in which Cambridge United could improve the Club’s engagement with the local area.
As well as providing an insight into first team matters and options for supporters to gain greater access to the U’s first team, Derry also exclusively revealed the signing of Gerry McDonagh to those in attendance 24 hours early.
The St Ives Hub was the second regional event to take place following the launch of the Supporter’s Hubs in Newmarket two weeks ago. The next event will see Cambridge United joined by Club Chairman Dave Doggett visit Ely City Football Club at 6pm this Friday.
Season ticket holders, participants of the Club’s Youth Development, school and community programmes plus parents, local businesses are all invited to attend and join the discussion.
