PREVIEW:
The 24-year old is eagerly anticipating this evening's clash with table toppers Doncaster Rovers, but says the focus is solely on United imposing their playing style on to the encounter.
He said: "We are always up for every game. We're footballers, so it doesn't matter who you are up against, you always get a buzz about playing football matches.
"Of course it is nice when you are facing teams that are going for it right at the top of the division.
"If we want to challenge ourselves then we need to do ourselves justice against these big teams. It's about us trying to find a way to effect a game that will give us the best opportunity of taking the three points."
The U's backed up the dramatic victory over Newport County last time out at the Cambs Glass Stadium, with a gritty away win against Barnet on Saturday and Norris was quick to pay credit to his team mates who he felt delivered a "professional" display in the tough conditions.
"It really was a professional performance where we quite literally weathered the storm. It was a difficult first half where we struggled to get the ball down and play due to the elements but we got in at the break at 0-0.
"It's not easy when you are playing in strong winds and driving rain, but the whole back four stayed compact, and whilst we struggled to get up the pitch, we dealt with it well.
"We then took our chance in the second half, with Harrison putting in a great ball for Bez (Luke Berry) and it was great to see him back on the score sheet again. He puts a lot of hours in and works hard throughout the week, so he got his rewards for that on Saturday.
"After getting the goal all the boys were very professional and we managed to see the game through without conceding that equaliser."
