PROGRAMME PREVIEW | DAVID FORDE

26 August 2017

Pick up today’s edition of the Cambridge United Match Day programme at this afternoon’s clash with Morecambe and read the first team player feature with United number one David Forde.

Available for just £3 around the ground, Forde has also signed 30 copies which will be randomly distributed across the Cambs Glass Stadium, so make sure you grab a copy to be in with a chance of winning!

Programme Preview:

The former Republic of Ireland international successfully kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in Sky Bet League Two during his time with Portsmouth last season, and achieved his first shutout for the U’s last weekend.

Forde states the clean sheet is what keeps him motivated every time he pulls on the jersey for the Club and is hoping for many more to follow.

He said: “I really do pride myself on making clean sheets, so I was immensely proud to get my first at Crawley.

“I go out every game looking to achieve them, and it really is a minimum requirement for me. Working hard to get a clean sheet is what gives me my drive and determination every time that I step out on to the football pitch.

“I thrive on achieving them and it gives the team a platform and a confidence to potentially win more games than we’ll lose. If we can manage to put together a number of clean sheets this season, then you are always going to be there or thereabouts.”
