SOCCER SCHOOLS TASTER - #FOOTBALLFAMILYDAY

10 October 2016

DID YOU ENJOY A BRIEF TASTE OF A CAMBRIDGE UNITED SOCCER SCHOOL?

If you attended yesterday’s #FootballFamilyDay for Shaun Whiter and Joey Abbs and enjoyed the mini Soccer School in front of the South Stand, then why not go the whole way and attend the upcoming Soccer Schools?

As well as the tournament on the pitch which saw Cambridge City lift the trophy, the Football Family Day also included a taster of the upcoming October Soccer Schools as hundreds of children visited the Soccer School Kids Zone that took place on the pitch.

The Kids Zone featured a Beat the Goalie Penalty Shoot Out against Youth Development Goalkeeper Coach Ben Watson, the Mick George Chip in the Skip Challenge and the Soccer School inflatable pitches.

The Soccer School Zone also received a visit from the U’s first team players who posed for Selfies and signed autographs, much like the weekly visits made at a real Soccer School.

So this October half-term  you can also take the opportunity to train within the inflatable pitches and meet the first team players if you are attending the Cambridge United Soccer Schools.

Places are still available to book online at www.cuyd.co.uk at just £25 per day, or £100 for the whole week. The Soccer Schools are available to girls and boys aged 4-12 years old at 20 regional venues. The early drop off of 8am and late pick up of 5pm, also makes the Soccer Schools an ideal child care option for working parents during the school holidays.
