ABSOLUTE SPORTS TRAVEL ENHANCE PARTNERSHIP WITH CAMBRIDGE UNITED
Cambridge United are pleased to announce an enhanced association with long-standing partners of the club Absolute Sports Travel.
The Stansted-based tour operator will henceforth partner with the Club as the Official Sports Travel Provider to Cambridge United.
This encompasses all levels of the Club, which has already included the First Team and Academy pre-season tours being expertly orchestrated through Absolute Travel, while hundreds of Regional Development Centre players and parents will travel to Europe next year on tours organised through the extended partnership.
Since its inception in 1992 Absolute Travel & Tours has grown to be one of the leading specialist school and group tour operators across the United Kingdom. As football tour experts the company specialises in training camps, tournaments and tailor-made tours throughout Europe and beyond for professional teams, Academies and grass roots clubs. Furthermore, their extensive school programme includes sports tours, ski trips and educational packages for schools, colleges and universities.
Absolute Sports Travel, led by Managing Director Ashley Gowing, have partnered with the Club for a number of years and Cambridge United are extremely pleased to solidify this ongoing support.
Commercial Manager Sam Jeffery commented: "We're delighted to be able to announce this development of an already solid partnership between Cambridge United and Absolute Travel.
"Next year we expect up to 250 children going on tour with Cambridge United, organised by Ash and his team at Absolute Travel. I'm sure if you asked any of these children, or indeed their parents, about their experiences of touring, they'd comment on the slick organisation and ease with which the tours run. This owes largely to the professional and honed skill of Absolute Travel."
Managing Director, Ashley Gowing added: "We're thrilled to extend our longstanding relationship with the club. Overseas tours represent a vital part of the footballing education and development of individual teams and players. As such, it’s fantastic that so many players at all levels within the club continue to travel across to Europe and compete on the international stage throughout the season.”
