#CAMBRIDGEUNITES IN SUPPORT OF CAMBRIDGE UNITED COMMUNITY TRUST

Cambridge United's first team players and staff have united in support of Cambridge United Community Trust by offering supporters the opportunity to bid for a host of unique "Fan Experiences".

An exciting six week auction period is about to get under way with all proceeds raised going towards the Community Trust. CUCT continues to positively influence the lives of local people through the delivery of projects across the three key themes of health, education and inclusion, using sport as the vehicle to engage with all ages and cross sections of the community.

All first team players, the first team coaching staff and First Team Manager Shaun Derry, have put themselves forward to be part of the unique prizes, which will be available to win via auction or raffle at www.tifosy.com/cambridgeutd.

One of the first prizes on offer will give one Cambridge United supporter the chance to become the club's deadline day signing!

The winner will be rushed to the training ground for a medical before meeting with Shaun Derry, negotiating a contract, being announced to the media at an official press conference, collecting their match shirt adorned with their name and squad number, appearing on the club's social media forums and featuring on the back of the match day programme.

The exclusive fan experiences auction will be officially launched on Saturday, when Cambridge United host Yeovil Town at the Abbey Stadium. The match has been sponsored by Cambridge United Community Trust as our Kick it Out game, and supporters can pick up a special edition of the match day programme with more information on the Trust and the fan experiences.

Commenting on the fundraising scheme and the reasoning behind the first team's support for the Community Trust, Manager Shaun Derry said: "The unique aspect of this football club is how much the community really means to Cambridge United and it's an incredible focal point for what we strive to be.

"Cambridge United is not just about watching the team on a Saturday afternoon, it's about giving opportunities to people within our community from Monday to Sunday.

"The club through the Community Trust works on delivering that and a big part of playing for this football club is going into local schools or the community to deliver those key messages and projects.

He continued: "The #CambridgeUnites campaign is something that we wanted to do in order to give supporters the chance to share a number of unique experiences with the first team, whilst also helping to raise funds for the Community Trust.

"I have certainly landed my feet with the experience I'll be offering, which gives two supporters the chance to join me at Midsummer House for a seven course meal and a flight of wines, which will I'm sure make for a great evening."

Cambridge United Community Trust Manager, Danny Kerrigan added: "We're delighted that we have the full support of the manager and players at Cambridge United, and that so many fans will get to enjoy unique experiences with first team players and staff as part of this campaign.

"Every charity needs funding and the Community Trust is no different. We need to find a way in which we can continue to grow and the #CambridgeUnites campaign is one of them. We plan to make this an annual event and have the opportunity for people to contribute throughout with benefit based subscription options.

"This provides a fantastic chance for supporters to get involved by experiencing some very unique opportunities with the first team players and staff."
