Win the chance to train with the first team in pre-season
Cambridge United are set to hold an exclusive ‘Be a Pro’ trial where the eventual winner will be invited to train with the club in pre-season 2016-17 with an opportunity to gain a professional contract.
Three one day trials are open now for players aged 16-21 to apply for.
Once an application has been received the club will contact the applicant within seven days to let them know whether or not they have been successful in gaining a place. The players will be required to attend one of the three trial dates below:
- Wednesday 9 March
- Wednesday 16 March
- Wednesday 23 March
Following the three trials a squad of 15 players will be selected to play in a trial match at the Abbey Stadium versus a Cambridge United development squad. At least one player will be selected from this process to be invited in for a pre-season trial period with the First Team to gain a professional contract.
The fee for this process is £75 and will be payable within seven days of being notified that players have gained a place. The fee is the same no matter how far you progress (i.e. if you make it into the trial match at CUFC and pre-season training there is no additional fee to pay”.
