Chief Executive Jez George discusses the developing partnership between Cambridge United Football Club and Clare College.George commented: "We have had a partnership with Clare College that has developed over a number of years, with the use of their fantastic facilities, firstly for the academy and then within the last five years, also for the first team.
"Clare College is the second oldest college in the University and is therefore steeped in history. We feel privileged that the college value their relationship with the football club as much as we value our partnership with them. It is a great honour to be associated with such an iconic institution.
"Discussions are taking place that we hope will allow us to grow and evolve the partnership still further, for the benefit of the students, our players and the community of Cambridge through our various youth development programmes. We share the values of Clare College, who provide a pathway for the most gifted and talented as well as an outreach programme for those from less privileged backgrounds to access these opportunities. It correlates perfectly with our ethos."
