Cambridge United’s Under 18s scholars are back in FA Youth Cup action for the Second Round of the competition, taking on Stevenage FC at the Abbey Stadium on Wednesday 18th November (KO 7:00pm).

The U’s made an impressive start to their cup campaign last week on the pitch at the Abbey Stadium with a 5-0 home win against Hayes & Yeading U18s. They will now aim to progress in the next stage of the competition and the potential opportunity to face one of the country’s highest ranked teams.

The Amber Army have already shown superb support towards the Academy U16s this season, with over 900 supporters attending their game against Tottenham Hotspurs last month. The club is encouraging U’s fans to once again back the club’s young guns as they look to enjoy an exciting cup run of their own.

Priced at £4 for adults and £2 for concessions/Under 17s, tickets for the match are available to buy online, in-store or by calling 01223 566 500 now.

Looking ahead to the clash Academy Manager Richard Meek Commented: “The lads are in very good spirits after the last round and have been training very hard to achieve the high levels required to progress further.

“The experience of playing on the stadium pitch is obviously fantastic, so another home draw is positive for us all. We have watched the footage from our League game against Stevenage and we are fully aware of the task ahead.

“Obviously the big clubs enter the competition at the third round so there is a massive incentive to go as far as we can in the competition. We would love as many of our fans to come to the game as possible to support the players and staff.”
