Cambridge United Community Coach Apprenticeship


Cambridge United are seeking applicants for the position of Community Coach Apprentice aged between 17-21 years old, to coach in local schools across Cambridgeshire as part of the U’s community department.

Apprentices will be required to work 30 hours per week including match days, coaching football as well as a variety of other sports and completing a level 3 Apprenticeship in Supporting Physical Education in Primary Schools.

To apply you will need to own a full driving licence and your own vehicle, have an FA level 1 in coaching football or another sport and have five GCSE’s between A* and C. FA level 2 in Coaching Football or another sport and experience of working with children is preferable but not essential.

Please note that prior to employment, all successful applicants will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, complete a FA Safeguarding Children and FA Emergency First Aid workshop.
