STRENGTHENED SPONSORSHIP DEAL FOR SEPURA

4 June 2015

Renewed sponsorship deal for Sepura

Club partner Sepura is set to take its commercial involvement with Cambridge United Football Club to new levels through the sponsorship of the club’s official training kit for the 2014/15 season.

The market-leading critical communications business headquartered in Cambridge began their partnership with the club last year, when it became the official sponsor of the Cambridge United Community Trust and agreed to sponsor the rear of the side’s home jersey.

Sepura also played a key role in Jez George’s Mission 676 Walk back in May 2014, by pledging its support towards the CEO’s goal of £100,000, during one of his charity walks across the country for the Cambridge United Community Trust.

With this new partnership Sepura will increase its engagement with the club through a sponsorship deal that will see the front of all items in the 2015/16 training kit emblazoned with its logo.

The kit includes a T-shirt, a sweatshirt, a quarter-zip sweatshirt, a stadium jacket, a rain jacket and a branded gilet.  The Sepura logo will also remain on the rear of next season’s home shirt and further to an extended sponsorship deal, it will also be placed on the rear of the 2015/16 away shirt.

Gordon Watling, CEO for Sepura commented: “We are delighted to announce our renewed sponsorship with the U’s.

“Like Cambridge United, Sepura is a business growing strongly. We have shown impressive growth for each of the last four years and last week announced a transformational acquisition which provides a platform for our future growth and continued international expansion, but we do not forget that our roots are based strongly in Cambridge.

“We look forward to a successful partnership with Cambridge United, as we continue to grow we hope to build our brands together over the coming years.”

Liz Slack Business Development Manager at Cambridge United concluded: “We are extremely proud of the fact that Sepura, a company ranking within the top 30 organisations in the city, has decided to strengthen its relationship with Cambridge United.

“From the beginning of the 2015/16 season all Cambridge United players, within the first team and across all squads from Under 9s through to Under 21s, will be wearing the Sepura logo on their training kit as well as on the home, away and third shirts.

“Sepura’s continued support for the club is a truly invaluable contribution.”
