PREMIER LEAGUE NORWICH TO VISIT THE ABBEY!

U’s set for pre-season tussle against Norwich City

Cambridge United will welcome recently promoted Premier League side Norwich City to the Abbey Stadium on Friday 17th July, kick off 7.30pm.

The fixture will see the U’s return to home soil in style, with Premier League opposition once again set to grace the turf of the Abbey Stadium for an exciting pre-season clash.

Playing in their first encounter since defeating Middlesbrough 2-0 in the Championship Play-off final at Wembley last month, the Canaries are set to bring a full first-team side as they ramp up preparations for a challenge on the Barclay's Premier League next season.

Whilst U’s supporters will have their first chance to check out a number of the club’s newest signings at home, including the likes of Barry Corr, Mark Roberts and Leon Legge.

The match will also mark the return to the Abbey Stadium of former Cambridge United shot stopper John Ruddy, who made his professional debut with the U’s back in the 2003-04 season before becoming Cambridge United’s first choice keeper in the following campaign.  

Meanwhile, prior to kick-off the U’s will also unveil the brand new 2015/16 Away shirt, which will be made available for the Amber Army to purchase immediately after the final whistle in the club shop outside the Newmarket Road End.

Tickets for the encounter are priced as follows:

Seated:
Adults - £15
Concessions - £10 
Juniors - £5

Terrace:
Adults -  £12
Concessions - £8 
Juniors -  £4

This latest announcement completes an East Anglian double header at the Abbey Stadium this pre-season, with Cambridge-United.co.uk revealing a fixture against the Canaries’ fiercest rivals Ipswich Town last week.

The club is offering supporters the opportunity to take advantage of a unique ticket deal, in which those who intend to attend both fixtures can purchase tickets at a discounted price.

Concessions – £15 
Juniors - £6

Terrace:
Adults - £20
Concessions - £10
Juniors - £5

Details with regards to when tickets go on general sale for all three of the club’s pre-season fixtures against Norwich City, Ipswich Town and Coventry City will be released soon.
