The U’s are just three days away from a return to the Abbey Stadium, with Premier League new boys Norwich City set to visit the city on Friday night for a unique pre-season fixture!
Both clubs announced plans last week regarding a one-off extended 120 minute encounter, allowing both Cambridge United Manager Richard Money and Norwich City boss Alex Neil to field full first team squads.
Demand for tickets since then has soared, with a bumper crowd now expected to welcome the U’s back in style!
The match, which will be spilt into four 30 minute quarters and kicks off at 7.30pm, gives the Amber Army their first opportunity to watch the U’s newest faces in action, as well as reacquainting themselves with the more familiar squad members.
The extended playing tine also ensures the Canaries bring a plethora of Premier League stars for fans to feast their eyes on.
Meanwhile the official reveal of the 2015/16 Away shirt will also be incorporated into the evening’s line-up, making it a match not to be missed.
Tickets for all of Cambridge United’s pre-season fixtures at the Abbey Stadium are available online, in-store or over the phone by calling 01223 566 500, including the East Anglian Double Header offer which allows U’s fans to make a discount when purchasing tickets for both Norwich City and Ipswich Town.
Meanwhile the Amber Army are also reminded that those who sign up for a 2015/16 season ticket before the U’s tussle with Sky Bet League One outfit Coventry City on Tuesday 28th July, (KO 7.45pm), will be entitled to attend the match totally free of charge!
