Following on from the success of England's Lionesses in the recent Women's World Cup, the U's are offering girls across the region the chance to show off their football skills!

Beginning with the Soccer Schools taking place this summer holidays for children aged between 4-14 years old, Cambridge United Youth Development will host five girls only venues at Linton, St Ives, Swavesey, Comberton and Kings Hedges.

Led by Female Football Development Manager Natalie Richardson, the Soccer Schools will include a combination of technical training, fun games, matches and are suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced.

Ten further mixed venues will also be available at:

• Melbourn

• Bottisham

• Sawston

• Witchford

• Chesterton

• Huntingdon

• Cottenham

• Red Lodge

• Newmarket

• St.Neots

Meanwhile the U's are also set to launch Girl's specific Soccer Centres this September, which will offer weekly training sessions with those who attend the Soccer Schools this summer guaranteed a place.

Available as a ten week block of evening sessions, the Soccer Centres will take place at Bottisham, Cambridge Regional College, Chesterton, Comberton, Cottenham, Sawston, St Ives and Witchford.
