Details for Easter football sessions

Cambridge United Youth & Community Trust are pleased to announce the details for their Easter Football Sessions. All sessions can be booked online at www.cutrust.co.uk.

Two special discount codes are available for early booking. Enter EARLYBIRD25 before Friday 21 February to claim 25% off or EARLYBIRD10 from Saturday 22 February until 21 March to claim 10% off.

In the first week of the Easter break CUY&CT will be running position specific courses for goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and strikers, as well as a course designed to help young players improve their ABCS (agility, balance, coordination and speed). These position specific courses will be held at Linton Village College and are from 9am until 1pm.

Alongside this courses at Linton will be a brand new initiative for an intensive week of ‘Football School’. This 9am until 4pm week-long course will be a combination of technical training with Cambridge United’s youth development coaches and classroom-based theory lessons. Young players will have the opportunity to work on developing their talent on and off the pitch. The classroom lessons will include work-sheets, presentations and homework tasks, designed to help the fledgling footballers develop their knowledge and understanding of topics.

The second week of the school holidays offers Match Morning sessions at four venues. These four hour small-sided games sessions will be held at Abbey Pool Astro (Monday 14 April), Witchford Village College (Tuesday 15 April), Hinchingbrooke (Wednesday 16 April), Linton Village College (Thursday 17 April). The Match Mornings are from 9am until 1pm, are extremely popular and often sell out in advance.

The Match Mornings at Abbey Pool, Witchford and Linton can be extended to a full day session from 9am until 4pm, as these can be booked with an optional afternoon session. On Monday 14 April after the Abbey Pool Match Morning, the children will be walked to the nearby R Costings Abbey Stadium to take part in a FIFA14 games console tournament. After the Witchford and Linton Match Mornings (Tuesday 15 & Thursday 17 April), children can enjoy an indoor football tennis tournament where they have the opportunity play 1v1 football tennis.
