Josh Coulson signs new deal with the U's

JOSH Coulson has signed a new two-and-a-half year deal with the U's, keeping him at the R Costings Abbey Stadium until June 2016.

Coulson, 25, has made over 200 appearances for the U's since signing his first professional contract in 2007.

The central defender has made 28 appearances so far this season and has been an ever present in the United side since the U's 0-0 Draw at Luton in September.

Josh is a product of the Cambridge United Youth Development System, joining the club after impressing for Cambridgeshire Colts League side Cherry Hinton Lions.

U's Director of Football, Jez George, said: "We are delighted that Josh has extended his contract.  We always strive for a core of home-grown players at the club, and, it's fantastic when someone progresses through the youth system to play as many games as Josh has done.  He epitomizes everything Cambridge United stands for and we believe he can fulfil his ambition of playing in the Football League with Cambridge United."
