U's players heading to summer holiday courses in July and August

CAMBRIDGE United have got a fun-filled and action packed summer holiday programme lined up for 2014!

Football Courses are running throughout the holidays, all our courses are open to boys and girls aged 6-16 of any ability and include;
  • Matchdays - 4 hours of small-sided games with the emphasis on fun! Afternoons full of football based activities & FIFA 14.
  • Position Specific Camp - Players will work on detailed techniques and topics specific to their desired position. With related theory based tasks and matches in the afternoon to apply their knowledge.
  • Professional Football Camp - Players will receive in depth coaching on a variation of different topics and match-scenarios, all led from a selection of CUFC’s Academy coaches. Based at Cambridge United’s first team and academy training ground Clare College, this also provides a great chance to complete the professional experience and train alongside the first team.
  • Be A Pro Camp - Players will get the chance to live the life of a true PRO! They will train every day, play a match against Arsenal FC, take part in a video analysis of their performance. Meet the CUFC squad, attend a press conference and much more!

Sports Days are running at Comberton Village College throughout July and August.  Children can take part in activities such as:
  • Wall Climbing
  • Trampolining
  • Judo
  • Fencing
  • Swimming

Cambridge United players will be heading along to football courses and Sports Days throughout the summer!  Children will have their chance to collect autographs, have their photo taken and take part in a question and answer session with the players!

Cambridge United Captain, Ian Miller, said: "As a player, it's always enjoyable to take some time out from the training ground to visit the local children on their holiday courses.  It's brilliant to see the youngsters enjoying the fun and games and getting plenty of exercise."

U's defender, Josh Coulson, echoed Ian's comments: "We really enjoy it when we go and visit the kids on the Cambridge United summer courses.  It's great to be able to join in with the games and see the children having so much fun, while helping them out with any advice we can give or questions that we can answer."
