Cunnington goal seals United win

Cambridge United secured three points this afternoon with a 1-0 win at Hyde.

Adam Cunnington scored the only goal of the game, nodding home Ryan Donladson's free-kick after 42 minutes in front of the travelling Amber Army.

The first-half saw Donaldson and Berry come close for the U's while Hyde managed to test Chris Maxwell on two occasions, the U's number one saving comfortably.

United started the second-half on the back foot, the hosts however couldn't find the back of Maxwell's net.

Substitute Mitch Austin came closest to extending the U's lead, firing just wide of the mark after 72 minutes.

Hyde's Liam Tomsett saw red in the second minute of stoppage time for an elbow on Richard Tait.
