U 15's to take part in prestigious touranment

Cambridge United are pleased to announce that they will once again be participating in the Under 15 Matthias Pape International Tournament in Magdeburg, near Berlin, in January. This tournament, which plays host to a number of top clubs in Germany, in front of an unbelievable vocal local crowd, will once again enable our players to participate and learn in an unique environment.

Last year the U’s were drawn in the 'group of death' with Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, VfL Wolfsburg and FC Koln, which to say the least was a great experience and one the players will never forget!

The performances and goals scored against such clubs will live long in the memory from last year including a narrow 3-5 defeat v Bayern Munich. The players this year have the opportunity to look to promote our club once again and possibly go one stage further against good quality opposition.

Our great German friends, in particular Lutz, will provide us with an excellent weekend of great education, opportunity, hospitality and friendship.

Played in an Indoor Arena with a fantastic atmosphere, this tournament provides the players with an experience which they will fully enjoy, whilst still being challenged!
