For the sporting fan, the world famous horse racing centre at Newmarket is only a few miles from the ground. There are races in the spring and during the late summer.
If there is no racing on the weekend of your visit, you can still watch the horses out training on Newmarket Heath or visit the Horse Racing museum in Newmarket.
