CAMBRIDGE UNITED ANNOUNCE NEW RDC MANAGER

Cambridge United Football Club are delighted to announce two internal promotions within the club.

Jonny Martin will leave his post as the Football Development Manager to work within the football club’s Academy, as the Foundation Phase Lead. Jonny has worked within Cambridge United’s Youth Development department for five seasons, more recently running the club’s gifted and talented Regional Development Centre Programme.

Matt Campany, a familiar face among Regional Development Centre players, will take over the programme with immediate effect as the RDC Manager.

Matt boasts seven years coaching experience within a variety of levels, aiding players’ development both on and off the pitch.

Jonny speaking on the appointment of Matt’s commented: “Matt has worked closely with me over the past six months and has helped prepare the 2017-18 RDC campaign.

“Next season’s RDC programme promises to be our best yet, with lots of new exciting additions to give our players a fantastic platform to develop and improve.”

The new appointments will see the Regional Development Centres draw even closer to the Club’s Academy, with Jonny and Matt set to meet every week in order to monitor players’ development and progression through the club’s pyramid.
