A summer 2015 recruit at the Cambs Glass Stadium, 27-year old Elliott signed a two-year deal with United after leaving Leyton Orient. A youngster with Fulham, he made a first team debut in 2006 and progressed to make eleven appearances, also building his experience via loan stints with Charlton and Norwich.
The Canaries benefited from his talent in 25 matches, before the O’s swooped in June 2010. Right-back Elliott, who amassed 20 caps for England at Under-16 17, 18 and Under-19 level, racked up 149 appearances across two spells with the London club.
He suffered with intermittent injury last season, but played 16 games for the U’s before the end of the campaign. Disappointingly, Elliott suffered a broken foot during the 2016 close season, meaning he will likely be missing for up to three months.
