Despite not turning 23 until the beginning of the new season, Kevin is virtually a veteran among his team mates with nearly 200 professional appearances under his belt.
The Liverpool born utility man had made over a hundred appearances for Chester City before he turned twenty, before being snapped up by The U's soon after the Cheshire club's unfortunate demise.
He made the right back slot his own last season despite also being able to appear in midfield, making 42 appearances and subsequently signing a one year contract extension in May 2011.
His impressive performances continued as part of a rigid United defence; not only was his deal further extended until 2014, but 'Robbo' was voted as Player of the Year for the 2011/12 season.
