With the likes of Rory McAuley, Sam Ives, Adam Marriott, Darryl Coakley and Jordan Patrick on duty with the first team in recent weeks, the CRC ranks have been boosted by two new faces.
Remi Garrett and Christy Finch have joined as first and second year scholars respectively. They are both forwards, and they have featured in the last couple of CRC fixtures.
Introducing the two new lads, Director of Football Jez George commented, "We signed Remi from Brantham Athletic after a successful trial, having first come to our attention with an impressive performance against us in the FA Vase this season.
"He is a strong, powerful, athletic forward with good pace and proved a real handful that day. Following a difficult year with injuries following a huge growth spurt, Remi has loads of potential and the attitude to make the most of his ability."
Remi lives in Ipswich and has already settled in well at the digs with the other scholars.
Christy Finch scored 91 goals last season in Lowestoft Town's reserve and youth teams, and earlier this season he opened his account with their first team. His excellent touch, movement and left foot were spotted by Jez on a scouting mission for future FA Youth Cup opponents and, after a successful trial, Christy has signed as a scholar, initially until the end of the season.
"We have a fantastic relationship with Lowestoft Town and we thank them for being so helpful in wishing Christy to have this opportunity," Jez said.
"They are a fine club with honest people and we look forward to taking our first team there in pre-season. Christy has loads of potential, a fantastic attitude and it will be interesting to plot his progress over the coming months."
