More New Scholars Sign Up
Director of Youth Football Jez George has signed more young players for our new intake of scholars for next season.
Goalkeeper Grant Wright, previously with Nottingham Forest, was the first to sign last month [article].
He was quickly followed by left back James Brighton (ex Birmingham City), central midfielder Luke Allen (ex Tottenham Hotspur), right-sided midfielder Joe Bennett (ex Watford) and centre forward Jack Igglesden (ex Southampton) [article].
The latest lads to put pen to paper are pictured here.
Alex Bevan (pictured right) is a composed defender who can play on the right or in the centre and joins us from Nottingham Forest. He was born in Oxford and turned 16 in January.

Josh England (above) is an athletic centre half who was previously with MK Dons. He was born in Luton and he also turned 16 in January.

Jonathan Thorpe is a strong, pacy right back who lives in Nuneaton and was previously at Leicester City.

Chris Tonks (above) is a central midfielder with good feet and vision. He lives in Derby and was previously at Derby County.
