Director of Youth Football Jez George has signed more young players for our new intake of scholars for next season.

Goalkeeper Grant Wright, previously with Nottingham Forest, signed earlier this week [article] and four more players have now signed their scholarship forms.

James Brighton (above, right) is a left back who joins us from Birmingham City. He was born in Bromsgrove and will be 16 in June.

Luke Allen (above) is a central midfielder who signs from Tottenham Hotspur. Born in Chelmsford, he turned 16 last month.

Joe Bennett is a right-sided midfielder who joins from Watford. He was born in Welwyn Garden City and turned 16 in September.

Jack Igglesden is a centre forward who signs from Southampton. He was born in Winchester, and turned 16 in December.

Two more lads are due to put pen to paper very soon, and there are another 3/4 places that Jez hopes to fill by Easter. He is still looking at a number of trialists, with some playing this weekend.
