Chesterfield 1 v 1 Cambridge United

Chesterfield and Cambridge produced a great game to watch. Cambridge took the lead in the first period; Good work from Harriet Morse produced a goal for Amber Gaylor. Chesterfield scored a well worked goal in the second period. Both teams drove forwards looking for the winner. Overall a fair result. Player of the match was Elearner Morgan because of some outstanding saves.

Chesterfield 0 v 6 Cambridge United

Doubles from Samara Nche and Sophie Wing and one each from Kelly Blanchflower and Venesha Hempstead eventually sank a spirited Chesterfield side.

After 30 mins it was Nil - Nil with both sides testing the other but neither able to convert chances but the introduction of Nche for the second 30 min period saw a change in fortune for the U's as she put Blanchflower through to score with a left foot shot.
10 mins later the favour was returned and Nche bore down on the Chesterfield goal to smash the ball past the keeper making it 2 - 0.

Chesterfield had their opportunities but there was no way past the U's back four or Nichole Bailey in the U's goal as she dominated her area and pulled off several good saves.

In the third period U's ran away with the game as their domination of possession and territory paid off with a fine brace from Wing a second for the extremely persistent Nche and a superb drive from the edge of the box for Hempstead.

A fine display from Captain Chelsea Prouten was rewarded by being voted Player of the Match.

Chesterfield 5 v 1 Cambridge United

It was game of two half's as Cambridge U16's went down to yet another away defeat. The first half display was one to forget about as Chesterfield run riot and established a well deserved 4 nil lead. Harsh words were needed at half time and the young U's reacted positively by producing a much improved display. Striker Mary Philips got on the score sheet but it proved to be just a consolation as Chesterfield fought back to add another goal to their crushing result.
