Tuesday night's round of Blue Square Premier action brought about a low scoring evening, with a mere nineteen goals scored in eleven matches. Just two of the twenty-two sides in action managed to find the net more than once as defences ruled throughout the division.

Salisbury City climbed back to the top of the division after seeing off Weymouth by a solitary Warren Feeney goal ten minutes after the interval. They displace Forest Green Rovers at the summit after they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at Eastbourne Borough.

Garry Wilson's men have now won by that score line for three consecutive fixtures. Nathan Crabb scored the game's only goal as Eastbourne find themselves up to the heights of eighth after their first seven games in this division.

Burton Albion, Mansfield Town and Cambridge United all sit just one point off leading Salisbury, but 1-1 draws for Mansfield and Cambridge United meant they missed the chance to go top. Burton achieved an impressive win at Wrexham, Shaun Harrad scoring the only goal after a bad error by home goalkeeper Gavin Ward. Wrexham fall to their first home defeat since their relegation from the Football League.

Mansfield had Michael Blackwood to thank for their point at York City, his equaliser earned his side a draw after Onome Sodje had opened the scoring. York remain one of two unbeaten sides, but have now drawn five consecutive matches and sit eleventh.

Cambridge United and Ebbsfleet United played out a draw after Luke Moore's second half equaliser, in a match where referee John Hopkins ensured he played more of a starring role than any of the players. Lee McEvilly scored his sixth goal in seven games and consequently sits top of the division's goalscoring charts.

At the bottom of the division, Woking's early season woes led to their manager winning the annual sack race. A 1-1 home draw against Lewes on Tuesday proved the end of Kim Grant's brief reign as manager, as he was sacked on Wednesday morning. Giuseppe Sole found the net five minutes from time to save The Cards' blushes and deny Lewes a first win at this level.

Woking sit second bottom, kept of the base of the division by Northwich, who fell to a home defeat against Oxford United. James Constable netted twice in fifteen minutes to secure a win after falling behind. Former Cambridge United loanee Jamie Guy saw his penalty saved by Scott Tynan, but Constable netted the rebound for the decisive goal.

The only other side to score twice was Crawley Town, who climb into the playoff places after four fixtures unbeaten. Their 2-1 win over Grays Athletic also sunk the Essex side into the relegation zone after goals from Lewis Killeen and Simon Weatherstone.

Kettering Town recorded a third straight win after ending Stevenage Borough's recent revival of a whole two matches unbeaten. Chris Beardsley struck early on at Rockingham Road with a goal that proved decisive.

Histon recovered from their home defeat by Forest Green by earning a 1-0 win against Altrincham at Bridge Road. Gareth Gwillim's effort from distance proved conclusive in front of a minute crowd of 692, one of only two matches to draw a crowd of three figures.

The final match of the evening saw Barrow grab a point with an injury time Paul Brown equaliser to deny Rushden and Diamonds their first win in five matches. Leon Knight had earlier opened the scoring in Rushden's long distance fixture before Brown ensured that The Bluebirds remain above their opponents in the table.
