An athletic 'box-to-box' midfielder who started out with Cambridge City, Sam is currently a first year professional.
The Cambridge-born 18-year-old has good technique and quick feet, and has shown an eye for goal in the FA Youth Cup and for CRC in the Ridgeons League.
Allocated a first team squad number ahead of the FA Trophy tie against Crawley in January 2009, he made his senior debut with a brief appearance from the bench and three days later made his league debut from the bench in a home 4-1 win against Woking.
This season Sam is a first year pro and will initially continue playing matches for CRC to help his development, but he has already made several further appearances from the bench and on 5th September he came off the bench against Forest Green Rovers and scored his first two senior goals in the 7-0 win.
