Towering Cherry Hinton-based defender who transferred to United along with the majority of Cambridge City's youth scheme in the summer of 2006. He played regularly for the CRC side in the Ridgeon's Premier League during 2006/07 and was part of the youth team that progressed to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup that season.
A 6ft 3ins centre half who is good in the air and composed on the ball, Josh was one of three scholars to earn a pro deal at the end of 2006/07, and the following season he made nine first team starts and four sub appearances, earning an extended deal to 2010 with his performances.
Although his first team appearances were restricted last season by the pairing of Hatswell and Bolland, Josh made a further 13 appearances and is highly-regarded at the club as he looks to cement a place this season.
