Crawley forward Magno Vieira joined on loan in early March for the rest of the season.  Jimmy Quinn had tried to sign the former Wigan, Carlisle and Barnet front man at the start of the season when he chose to join Crawley instead, and moved quickly in March when he learned he could have the 23-year-old on loan.

The pacy Brazilian provides options in all the forward areas because he can play up front, behind a front two or on either flank.

The Brazilian-born striker's career in England began as a trainee at Wigan Athletic in 2003 after being recommended by Brazilian World Cup legend Jairzinho. A lack of first team opportunities saw him go on loan to Northampton and then Carlisle United and he spent 2004/05 on a season-long loan at Brunton Park, where he played a key part in Carlisle's return to the Football League with ten goals in 26 league starts, earning the Conference 'Player of the Month' award in October 2004 and celebrating play-off semi-final wins over Aldershot before beating Stevenage in the final at Stoke's Britannia Stadium.

At the end of that season he was released from Wigan by mutual consent and hoped to join Carlisle on a permanent basis, but work permit and visa problems saw him spend a year out of football living in Greece and Italy instead, before he joined Barnet in the summer of 2006.   Opportunities were limited at Underhill but he managed three League Two goals in eight starts and 13 appearances from the bench, plus two further goals in the FA and League Cups, before being released at the end of the season by Paul Fairclough.

Jimmy Quinn was among the managers interested in signing 'Mags' last summer but he had caught the eye of new Crawley manager Steve Evans last season when scoring twice for Barnet against Evans' Boston United in a 3-3 draw at Underhill, and decided to join Crawley.
