The final home game of last season was a special 'Family Day' with reduced admission prices and special attractions and here are some of the events and local groups who were part of the day, which was crowned by a 2-1 win against Tranmere Rovers.

Three local charities - East Anglia's Children's Hospices, Centre 33 and East Barnwell Community Centre - were very grateful to receive £2,550 each, proceeds from the FA Charity Shield.

The Centre of Excellence Under-8s enjoyed their lap of honour following their success in the West Country Cup (as reported on this site).

Little Downham Eagles Colts team were one of six recipients of the FA Charter Standard award, and they are pictured above receiving the award from Cambs FA Chairman Bill Coad.

Club captain Paul Wanless, missing out through injury, was full of praise for the Cambridge United Girls team's skills in their demonstration.

Fans appreciated the players giving them Kick out Racism T-shirts after the warm up and signed footballs before kick-off and this hug from Lionel was very well received.

Marshall DAF Trucks Sponsors Man of the Match Warren Goodhind wishes Dominic Badcock good luck before his sponsored swim the following Saturday, which was Dominic's own idea to raise money for the Club.

Golden Gamble guest Ross Boyd, a U's fans for 23 years, was attending his first home game and he is pictured above with PR Manager Graham Eales, who orchestrated the day.
