Miranda Langran and Ian Rogers, two of the keenest Cambridge United supporters, married on 12th July 2008 at the Brook House Hotel in Soham.

They first met at a match when Cambridge United played Exeter in 2002 at St. James Park Exeter. And extraordinarily, the last live match they saw before the wedding was Cambridge United playing Exeter again, this time at Wembley!

Miranda and Ian stand on the Newmarket Road End and attend every home match and a few selected away matches, and they decided to theme their wedding around Cambridge United.

The favours were chocolate footballs, black and amber balloons on the tables, amber serviettes. The tables were named, numbered and placed on cardboard cut outs in the shape and colours of the home shirts. This was based on the team that played at York in the first game of the 2007/2008 season. That team was chosen as Ian proposed to Miranda whilst they dined in the hotel restaurant after the match.

The Best Man was a very good friend that Ian met at university and the Bridesmaid was another keen Cambridge United supporter, Anouska Wright.

In keeping with the chosen theme, Cambridge United Fans Director Brian Attmore was asked if he could contact Marvin the Moose with a special invitation to go to the Brook House Hotel in Soham on Saturday 12th July. Marvin couldn't promise anything as he is always very busy but, being a kind Moose, he said he would do his utmost to be there.

As it turned out, Marvin was able to make it with the help of a good friend of the Groom, Rob Childerstone, who stands on the Newmarket Road end. Rob is a great Cambridge United supporter, attending all the home games and some away matches.

The Moose was really happy when he saw another committed Cambridge United supporter, Neil Cornwell, who had travelled from Old Hunstanton with his car which is painted black and amber and signed on the bonnet by the players. Marvin wanted to clamber all over this car but the photographer was wise enough to keep Moose in the picture but quietly on the side, so as not to cause any damage!!

Very many thanks to Cambridge United and Marvin the Moose for their sterling efforts towards making this a special day for the Groom and Bride.
