Hitting The Net - Live

Posted on: Sat 19 Apr 2008

What happens next time you can't get to a home game, or next time the team are playing away and you can't be there?

Many people flick the radio on and listen to Mark Johnson and Steve Line's excellent commentary, but what if you're somewhere that you can't listen to the radio, or you're out of range?

The Club's official website at cambridgeunited.com has a number of ways in which you can follow all the action from every first team game.

Our free updates

Firstly, there's a comprehensive rolling match report absolutely free here at cambridgeunited.com and it's updated regularly throughout the game so you won't miss any of the action. It's the most comprehensive free service for U's games anywhere on the Internet.

Audio commentary

But if you want to get closer to the action, our U's World service has full audio commentary, in association with BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. Also within U's World you can access our Match Live console, with all the very latest scores from across the UK, and you can listen to exclusive live commentary from around 70 other clubs too.

Match Live centre

We have a brand new addition with the Match Live centre, including live league table, latest scores and much more, completely free!

Text message updates

If you're not online, you can get goalflashes and more details texted straight to your mobile phone. You'll get team line-ups, red cards, full time Blue Square Premier scores and every single goal.

You can sign up for £4.99 per month, and you'll also get exclusive breaking news direct to your mobile before it's released anywhere else. Alternatively, it's 25p per text if you don't want to be tied down for a month.

Go to the Mobile Zone for complete details of how to sign up. We offer an away games-only service if you can't make our matches on the road, and a news-only service if you don't need the match updates.

Full time report and reaction

A complete match report is always published at the official site within minutes of the final whistle, followed by the manager's post-match comments.

Mobile Internet

In addition, you can read the match report on your phone with our Mobile Internet site. We do not charge for this service.

We also publish Jimmy Quinn's post-match verdict on the Mobile Internet site as well. Go to cambridgeutd.wap.com on your phone or enter your mobile number in the box at the foot of news articles on the website.

Open All Hours...

Busy writingAnd whether you were at the Abbey, on some away terrace, listening on the radio or following the game via text messages, the one place everyone can get together to discuss the match and the news is the Message Board at cambridgeunited.com.

It's open 24 hours a day and you'll almost always find people logged in from around the world to write or read about our favourite football team.

Why not log in and add to the lively discussion? New input and opinions are always welcome!
